Farmers MarketMay 15-December 7
The Holland, Michigan farmers market is a necessity! Open from mid-May to early December, our farmers market features over 50 vendors offering local fresh produce, flowers, plants, baked goods, meats, cheeses, spices, and so much more! Take a break from shopping and enjoy breakfast or lunch from the Food Court. On Saturday mornings from late May to early September, a local chef will show you how to prepare a variety of delicious dishes using items fresh from the Market. As you shop, the kids will have a blast listening to live music, and watching the balloon artist create balloon animals right before their eyes. On Wednesday mornings from early June to late August, your kids will have a blast with educational events and activities that change each week and are designed just for them!
Street Performer SeriesJune 13-August 29
Downtown Holland 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm Every Thursday, from June 13 through August 29, musicians, caricature artists, face painters, jugglers, magicians and even aerial acrobats will entertain visitors strolling along the 8th Street. Enjoy the sights and sounds of street performers every Thursday evening while you’re out shopping and dining in Downtown Holland!
Summer Concert SeriesJune 14-August 23
The Summer Concerts at Kollen Park are one of the most popular spots to be on Friday evenings in the summer in Holland. From 6:30-8:30pm, the park comes alive with music and dancing. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic basket and enjoy the sounds of summer.
Labor Day Truck ParadeSeptember 2 at 9:15am
Make some noise for the businesses and workers of West Michigan! Bring the family, earplugs and an appetite for big trucks, ice cream and giveaways. Give a few hours of your Labor Day to honor and celebrate our local workforce which has built one of the best places to live in the entire country. Join us as 70+ big rigs, representing the businesses of West Michigan, make their way along the parade route from downtown Zeeland to the Holland Civic Center. Once there, they park to give you an opportunity to meet the drivers, tour the trucks and learn a little more about our area employers. Also at the Civic Center will be a FREE Ice Cream Social, face painters and other free entertainment.
Live Mannequin NightSeptember 13
Walk the charming streets of downtown Holland and participate in one of our favorite local events, live mannequin night! With over a dozen businesses participating, it promises to fill the streets with people wandering from store to store to view each display. Watch community volunteers dress up and pose as perfectly still as mannequins in the storefront windows as they recreate a theme or category assigned to them. At the end of the evening, vote for the business with the most creative display in the People’s Choice competition!

Stay up late, shop the night away and save big on all of your holiday gifts! Get your holiday shopping off to an early start and take advantage of discounts offered by participating merchants. Participating merchants will offer 20% off from 7pm-8pm, 25% off from 8pm-9pm, and 30% off from 9pm-10pm.
Holiday Open HouseNovember 16
Each November, the merchants of Downtown Holland host the annual Holiday Open House, a highly anticipated holiday tradition for both visitors and local residents alike. Stroll the decorated streets filled with holiday carolers, sample a roasted chestnut and shop the day away at stores, boutiques and galleries all featuring unique gift options you won’t find anywhere else. Take a picture with Santa or visit his reindeer at the petting corral. Grab a cup of hot cocoa at a coffee shop and enjoy a mouth-watering meal at a restaurant or pub. The Holiday Open House concludes at 8:00 pm with a tree lighting ceremony and a Christmas carol sing-a-long at the corner of 8th Street and Central Avenue. Attendees will be invited to join our City officials and of course, Santa Claus himself, as the official Downtown Holland Christmas tree is illuminated with thousands of sparkling lights.
Small Business SaturdayNovember 30

Parade of LightsDecember 3 at 6:30pm
During the annual Parade of Lights, Santa will arrive in Downtown Holland escorted by reindeer, bands, floats, trucks, family and friends…all decked out in thousands of sparkling holiday lights! More than 70 entries will illuminate the streets of Downtown Holland during this highly anticipated holiday event. At the end of the Parade, Santa and his reindeer will take the time to greet his fans – young and old alike!
Sinterklaas EveDecember 6 at 6pm
Reminiscent of years gone by, this traditional Dutch folk event celebrates Sinterklaas, the benevolent St. Nicholas.
Shopping JamDecember 14 from 8am-10am
